Front squat tips/general programming question
So this is rock bottom for me in my front squat. Obviously not the greatest bottom, and I've been working on my mobility before and after workouts trying to open up my hip flexors and increase my ankle flexibility. So work in progress there, but any tips on achieving a better bottom and/or better positioning in the front squat would be appreciated. The vid is at 85% on the 4th or 5th set.
I'm also curious about programing to increase quad/front squat strength. I'm doing the 5 week front squat cycle currently and I'm just curious if there's anything that I should add to that if I really want to increase quad strength, or programs to look at once the cycle is complete. With the pulling strength that I have I'm confident that I can get under about 20-30 more pounds than I'm capable of standing up. Is that something that's common or are my legs as glaring of a weakness as I think they are? Thanks in advance for the responses
