First pull - advice sought
I'm a novice weightlifter and do so more for fun and fitness than anything else.
I'd love some advice about my first pull.
I've got long monkey arms and a short torso (don't think that is good for a WL'er ;-)
I've followed the advice from Greg in his article on this website re: Deadlift Vs First Pull
I.e Bar over Ball of foot and arms vertical...
I'm not sure that my set up looks right -
That said I've played with a lower squat position as a start position and my shoulders are behind the bar... and then I have to pause prior to second pull to correct my position -
Whereas this set up shown in the video below my hips are higher and the flow of the bar is continuous....
Thoughts from the wise ones?
