Hi John,
I am also vegetarian and like to say vegetables are great to lose and maintain healthy body weight, great antioxidant and make bones strong. Vegetables prevent from certain types of cancer, diabetes, stabilize blood pressure, stroke and other heart disease.

I am also trying to stick to vegan diet. It's actually not easy as I don't like soy as protein source.

In last few days I have found many people and researchers suggesting to be vegetarian.
As per various studies being a vegan has many health benefits. Hence, I am trying to be vegan.
