Default Knee Joint cracking sounds

Everytime I squat my left knee makes horrible sounds, cracking sounds but no pain at all. Is this a matter of concern or I shouldn't worry?

I've seen several people that have exactly the same thing going on. I wouldn't worry about it much. I have not seen any injuries from what you're describing. But I would still do appropriate warm-ups and cool-downs before and after training as any athlete should.

I think these noises are nothing to be concern about specially when you are not experiencing any pain.Actually there is a fluid in our joints called synovial fluid which contain gases like oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. When these gases escape from joints such noise occurs.

Sergio -

I agree w the two previous posts. Generally the rule is cracking without pain is not a concern, although I would certainly make sure you're doing plenty of pre and post workout foam rolling on your quads in particular (all asoects) and quad and hip flexor stretching to make sure your kneecap is gliding properly.
