Default Shoulder/upper back cycle?

The cyshoulder/upper back weaknesses. I started lifting a few years ago with Starting Strength, which is lower-bodyfocused, and have never really done anything to fix the discrepancy. I started oly lifting a couple of years ago, and I believe having trouble stabilizing weights overhead is holding me back.

My Overhead Squats are limited by how much I can push press to get in position without losing the bar, and the Jerk has always been my limiting factor in C&J.

For reference:
Snatch: 88k
C&J: 115k
Strict Press: 65k
FS: 155k
HBBS: 180k

I wouldn't necessarily jump into a program that only focused on upper back/shoulder strength. If that's your weakness there are different exercises you can incorporate that strengthen that aspect of your lifting.

I think Snatch Push Presses, Push Press, Push Press BTN (behind the neck), Press in Snatch are some good exercises. Other than that I would do some extra bodybuilding type exercises like DB/BB Row, DB Shoulder Press, Lateral Raises, etc

Thanks Blake. I actually had all those exercises in mind, my problem is combining them into a coherent program alongside the main lifts.

I'm kinda in the same boat.

Blake, when upper body strength is the goal, wouldn't it be better to do strict presses instead of push presses? Other than that, what sort of exercises are weightlifting friendly? Are weighted dips a bad idea?
