Default BCAAs, Green Drinks and IF

Based on the fact that I firmly believe in the health benefits, and that it jives with my schedule as a side benefit, I've started implementing 14-18 hour fasts on a daily basis. Mental clarity and energy have gone up, and my lifts continue to increase!

Positive experience aside, I'm curious about your thoughts on BCAAs and green powders (such as Greens+) in general - PWO specifically. I read something from Poliquin a while back touting the benefits of using a green drink PWO to combat the acidosis created by a strenuous workout. Along the lines of Cordain's work on acid/base balance, Poliquin found that the inclusion PWO shifted the body toward an alkaline state, enhanced recovery, and increased LBM. I figured that BCAAs PWO would be valuable given their effect on catabolism and anabolism; increasing the latter and decreasing the former.

I usually eat my first meal between 10a.m.-2p.m., but have to work out much earlier (roughly 7-8) due to my schedule. I figured that I could use the BCAA/Greens combo PWO and then hit the fit later in the day. Not sure if this would be a wise idea though given the fact that the greens does contains some calories, albeit a tiny amount (~35 calories) and BCAAs are insulin secretagogues.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
