Default uhghghg soo much food

Can be daunting. Just upped intake to 3500-4000 calories a day...1000 over what I normally take in. And damn if I say thats a lot of calories to eat for a small guy.

eat tons of fat - nice and convenient forms like nut butters and coconut milk. much easier to get that high caloric intake without feeling like there's food stacked up to your throat all day.

Gregg,

Would adding about 1/2 lb peanuts and some yogurt be sufficient since they are b oth calorie-dense yet you don't feel so stuffed?

Yeah, but I'd use walnuts, almonds or macadamia nuts instead of peanuts.

Macadamia nuts are, but the reason is that peanuts are not actually nuts--they're legumes--and as such carry with them all the potential problems thereof, similar to grains but typically to a lesser degree.

Fair enough. Sadly, almonds don't come cheap here. Hopefully cashews could be a better substitute.

I'd suggest ramping up your calories in a slower, controlled manner...otherwise, your body will fight the change--much like starving oneself all of a sudden (ie. body temp drops, metabolism slows, etc.).

Yeah peanuts can lead to allergies and they are not a very clean legume....lots of toxis and issues associated with them (as you hear all those peanut butter recalls).

Also a side note...don't overdo the polyunsaturated fats, try to get more from monounsaturated (avacados, olive oil) or healthy saturated (like coconut oil and grass fed beef). Nuts in general tend to have more Omega 6 and less Omega 3s....so too much Omega 6 leads to inflammation which is not a good thing. If you do like nuts make sure you are getting your fish oil to help balance out the 3-6 ratio.
