Recently I've been having problems with numbness in my arms and hands. First time I had experienced this was when I started CFin' and felt it during and after I did OHS. It only ever happened in my left arm and as time went by it went away as shoulder flexibilty increased (I think). Lately though it's been coming back but not while I'm working out but while I'm sleeping and in both arms. It feels like my arms are asleep but they're not asleep as I can't shake them awake and its been waking me up some nights. In the last couple months I've gone from CF to Oly lifting and I figure going from 1000 pull-ups/week to 1000 overhead presses/week might be the cause so I've started to fire off more pull-ups with some success. Originally it was my entire arm but it's sort of moved its way down to just my hands and fingers for right now. I figure its a pinched nerve...

Could be lots of things, but you might want to do a simple check of your scalene muscles. Adhesions there can reproduce pain and numbness in the arm and hand, and I can fire mine up w/gymnastic holds or heavy overhead work.
Some self massage can relive the pain, but a scalene massage is less than pleasant..... good luck!
Numbness in both arms at the same time can typically be traced back to the neck (scalenes are in the neck, like Scotty mentioned). That's where I'd look for the solution...
which fingers? thumb/index/ long or small/ ring? If your arms are involved, is it like a sleeve of tingling, the same on all sides, or is one side worse than the other? Do you feel unusually clumsy or have less than your usual grip endurance/ strength?
