Wolrd Championships (Nice Work Casey!)
The World Championships are going on right now, as if you didn't know.
Casey Burgener hit 182/218 for a 400 total to place 11th at the World Championship.
Zach Schulender hit 170/200.
These are just the latest supers's results I caught wind of. It can be watched for free at weighliftingexchange.com - sign up and get 200 free credits to watch the coverage.
Casey's good showing is even more important to the US since this championship determines how many lifters we'll be able to enter in 08 Olympics, and we'v had a couple bomb outs so far.

This gives all of the results. I glanced it over, and it looks like Casy Burgener placed the highest out of all Americans, including women.

Nice.
Wow, I was looking at the results and the belarus guy from the 85kg section put up a 393 total which would've placed second in the 94kg class and first in the 105kg class. Damn that's impressive.
China is really beasting out on oly lifters now it seems (or was it always like that since when? I don't follow oly lifting as I do gymnastics).
Guys in my weight class snatch more than I deadlift. How depressing.

They can toss your iron crossing poppy through the ceiling.

Anecdotally olympic weightlifters have posted some of the best 40yd dash times short of olympic sprinters so don't get too cocky, skinny man.
