Default Recovery Meals

This is a two parter. First, should recovery meals (whether and actual meal or some kind of meal replacement) be used when fat loss is your goal versus mass gain? Second, should you have recovery meals after both weights and metcon (if you do them at different times of the day)? If so, would you want them to be of the same makeup, or would you be looking for different nutrients after metcon than after lifting?
