The prostate hypertrophies with age regardless of nutritional input.. and thus has a high rate of developing cancer. I'd be wary of saying anything has a correlation or causation with prostate problems.

Anyway, near the end they linked dairy PROTEIN was the probable correlation:

Analysis revealed that a high diary protein intake was associated with an increased risk of prostate cancer, at a hazard ratio of 1.22 for the top versus the bottom quintile of intake. After taking into account measurement error, the team found that an increase in dairy protein consumption of approximately 35 mg/day was associated with a 35% increase in the risk of prostate cancer.
Guess that doesn't speak well for whey or casein, heh. Shrug.

Professor Jane Plant wrote a book about the link between dairy consumption and prostate cancer a few years ago that's worth reading. Basically it was a rehashing of her excellent book Your Life In Your Hands which told the story of how as a scientist she approached her own treatment of breast cancer. Her conclusions were basically that milk is bad and we'd all be better off if we ate a plant based diet like the Chinese although she doesn't go as far as T. Colin Campbell in advocating a strict vegan diet. I actually found her book Understanding, Preventing and Overcoming Osteoporosis more interesting though as she provided clear scientific evidence that rather than being good for your bones milk and dairy products, notably hard cheeses, may actually be harmfull.
