Maybe you just need a week off.

I guess I should qualify that statement... I think in CF a lot of people take a half week every 4th and 8th week and then a week off on the 12th week and usu. come back better for it. I thought you might need one because you said your performance was suffering and you were training less, but it seemed to me like the opposite should be the case... It may just be a diet thing like you suggested, who knows.

Sorry to hijack, but does anyone know if Berardi's "Grappler's Guide to Sports Nutrition" is worth the money?

Not sure about the Grappler Guide. I have his Precision Nutrition kit, and i think the Grapplers Guide more or less follows the same nutritional rules. It might have more info on cutting weight. I am actually looking to sell the Precision Nutrition package, so if you are interested shoot me a PM.

I have it... It is good solid info... If you've seen Precision Nutrition, then it won't be anything new... Except, as Anton suggested, it does have some excellent info on weight cutting...

I've been working a bit more carbs back into my diet. More sweet potatoes after working, some occasional rice. If we go out for mexican i dont totally avoid the chips and salsa.
I figure if i can keep my carbs unprocessed and still avoid inflammatory things like gluten that might strike a good balance between health and performance.
We'll see, i am still tinkering with it. Now to cut back on coffee....
