Fasting for recovery?
I've seen a few references here to fasting (as in juice fasting) for recovery from disease or injury. I'm wondering what you knowledgable folks here think about it. It seems to me that a juice fast (by this I mean fresh veggies juiced with a countertop juicer) would play havoc with insulin levels. Would say a 3 day juice fast send the body for a loop?
