Novices get a novice effect in general.
well I'm not speaking for a huge fount of personal knowledge admittedly, but I've seen "supplementation" up close in two sports and I don't know that I've ever seen anyone make
huge changes from anything other than food +work...yeah the supplements do work...really really well...but not without
massive volumes of work.
But then again...I think all the nueroendocrine blather is just that.
