I actually just started using Cissus a little over a month ago. Simply put, it works. I'm not sure if it's due to the anti-inflammatory properties of the herb, if it actually helps healing, or if it's a combination of both. I think it's both. I used it for a few weeks and my tendinitis pain was reduced considerably (much more than any alleviation that I got from fish oil and glucosamine/MSM combined).
I actually had to stop taking it this past Sunday because I got a Prolotherapy shot in both of my shoulders for rotator cuff tendinitis and taking anti-inflammatory substances defeats the purpose of the shot. I got the shot on Wednesday (stopped taking the Cissus on Sunday to make sure all of the anti-inflammatory effects of it wore off by the time I got the shot) and none of the pain came back during the 3 days that I wasn't taking it, so there may actually be soem merit to the claims that it increases healing rate.
Believe it or not, there actually are some published studies that have shown Cissus to improve healing rate in bone injuries, but I was unable to find any that showed increased healing of tendons, ligaments, or muscles.
Anyway, it worked for me and is definitely worth the money in my opinion.
