Default pain in my knees and ankles

Hey guys, first post of the CA site. I've been on the CF one but decided to come over here also.

So here's my problem...whenever I sit indian style I get pain in my knees and ankles. Until recently I thought this was just because I wasn't meant to sit indian style or something, until I read a thread about this guy who can't sit in a figure four without his ankles and knees hurting due to inflexibility.

I was wondering which muscles are causing my knee and ankle problems when sitting indian style and which stretches could sort out my problem.

Anyone else have any experiences like this?

Thanks guys

Without pain in the joints yeah, but A2A squats are still a little bit of a stretch in the groin for me.

You don't need a dedicated stretching routine to sit on the floor indian style, you just need to spend more time sitting on the floor.

Just in that position? Do they hurt in any others?
