Default Kiss?

I've been looking at the recent cycle of CA-WOD and Coach B's WOD and see lots of C&J, snatches and front squats. What's the general mentality behind this programing compared to a mixture of different O-lifts like how the CA-WOD started? Is it pretty much keeping it simple as possible in order to increase the O-lifts, whereas a mixture of lifts like the first 4 weeks was strength based?

I guess I'm asking how does a routine with nothing but C&J, snatches and front squats differ from a routine with a mixture of lifts that work certain segments and or positions of the lifts?
