Default Jumping into the CA WOD

I know on the workout info it says that you may jump in at any time. Is it suggested that you do this or start at the beginning of the 16-week cycle. For example, would I go straight to today's workout(the week of 4S2) or should I start at the wod listed as week 1S1. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
