Default Frying healthiness

Ive been doing a lot of frying lately. Mainly stir fries, without the noodles and rice, but also frying up some meat and serving it with a salad. When I say frying, I mean putting a touch of oil into a pan and frying whatever Im making. I love it, it's really quick and convienent and tastes great. However, Ive heard that its not the healthiest cooking choice. What's the oppinion of the board on this? Something to be worried about, over-hyped, etc?

What kind of oil? I prefer organic coconut oil or butter.

Yep. As long as it's done using one of those, I wouldn't worry too much.

I prefer Lard, Coconut and butter.
I use Olive Oil for shots, pour over warm veggies, but not much for cooking.

Lard, Fat is where it's at.

BTW, try making your own, the Pork Crispies that are let over are the bomb, plus you've made some great homemade lard.

Ive been using olive oil. Olive oil for everything...salad dressing, cooking, everything. Last time I used coconut oil, I dont know what I did, but I caused a lot of smoke...Im trying to eat primal so I havent even considered butter. And just never thought of lard...
