Default Break in new shoes?

I got my first pair of weightlifting shoes. They are pretty stiff and uncomfotable what's the best way to break them in?

I just wore mine, and they eventually did loosen up/conform to my feet. But maybe other have a few tips to speed up the process?

Wear them around the house for a day, that ought to break them in.
