Default TRX Suspension System

Does anyone own or have experience with these? I'd appreciate some comments if anyone does, in particular is it possible to do weighted dips and pull ups with them?

They're starting to be pushed over here in the UK now but are outrageously expensive.

Appreciate any answers in advance.

Lifeline fitness makes a cheaper version if you are wanting straps. I think their Jungle Gym 2 is rated to 400lbs.

Cheers Mike - I've seen some straps over here for about (off the top of my head) $40. That's as opposed to $260-280 for the TRX.

I'm suspicious that the supposed versatility of the product is just hype to promote what was essentially a canvas webbing strap adapted by servicemen so they could do a few exercises on a vessel.

Jungle Gym I is about $49.....the II is probably $79....still much cheaper and probably rated the same....but I've never really compared them side by side. I've hung on the Jungle Gym I before with my bodyweight (185lbs) just fine....for weighted stuff probably go with the II.

The "TRX Suspension System" is a knockoff of gymnastics rings.

Google: Rouge Rings, Xtreme Rings, Elite Rings...

or go to:

http://ringstraining.com/

Rings are super cheap and easy to come by compared to days of old.
