No, I hear you. The opposite extreme is also pretty lame, though. Socrates said the unexamined life is not worth living, but one of my college buddies gave me the poignant advice that the unlived life is not worth examining. Here's to balance!!!
Problem is (as one may have witnessed on other forums) folks are most afraid when you present something that won't allow a pat "That's what I believe!" to be the final answer. Asking for proof and evidence just might get you killed in some places.
