Default Heavy Single in weight lifting workouts

Hello,

I was thinking about switching over to the Catalyst Athletics workouts from Max Mormont's stuff over at Maxfit USA. He does a great job. The reason for the switch? I like the idea of heavy singles, and working heavy more often. Is this the meaning behind heavy single? I thought I read somewhere that it is kind of Bulgarian style? Could someone correct me if I'm wrong? Hope I'm not off my rocker or something. Anyways, does anyone have any opinions or suggestions?

Okay, so I read my post, and forgot to ask the other question. Heavy singles mean work up to a heavy 1 rep max, correct? The theory is that if you are feeling weaker, then you use that weight for the work that week, and if you are feeling stronger, you use that weight? Is this right?

Okay, nevermind. I did some reading and looking around some more (imagine that!) and found my answers. I'm going to start this program tomorrow.
