Default science articles validating 15-20 hr fasts?

Does anybody have any hard science articles validating 15-20 hr fasts? We all know it works from personal experience, but I like data

Check the refs in the back of fast 5. I scanned them and there seems to be some interesting stuff there if you've the time to do it.
