No, some of these posts are too long, I just skimmed and happened to check in today. But the reply just before this one resonates with me. Just started some 5/3/1 wtih FS and bench, of all things, for one day of my training, similar goal, getting the 125kg up to ~135 ~300lbs. 2 months? 3? We'll see.
Bench b/c my pressing in all forms blows. And also, for some reason, the 3 exercise workout of snatch (any kind of snatch work), front squat and bench just always feels great. Maybe it's the shoulders getting a nice range of work without over working? Maybe it's how on the last exercise I get to lie down.
Am thinking will do push-presses on the other day. Or just full C&J, since I really only get 2 solid gym days a week. Push presses are kind of awesome, though.
We have boxes I can work off - jerk or pushpress from without having to lowering or clean. Makes getting in heavy reps really workable.
