Default Dull Back Pain when I Round my Back

So I'm not sure how this happened except maybe it was after doing Nancy Rx that i notices some days later that when I would round my back on purpose i feel a dull pain for a moment. Then it goes away and if I try to do that again it wont happen.

It's been like this for a couple of weeks now. Anybody wanna guess what's going on?

More information is better, oh and to steal Dave V.S's line...lower back pain is nothing to fuck with. If it's been weeks now it might be time to see a sports doc.

when i touch one of my vertebrae it hurts like it's sore or something.

pain in very mild and momentary.

i can't really go to a doctor i have no insurance and make very little money.

Can you see a PT without a doc referral?

May be applicable to see a chiro as well...

Just now i was sitting cross legged on a chair at my desk at home and i rolled the chair forward by leaning forward with a rounded back if that description make sense and i got a momentary dull pain that seems to come from the area of one of my vertebras..

i also think inactivity tends to make it more likely i will feel this momentary pain..
this sucks.......


one of my friends is a chiropracter..

You need to be more specific. "Vertebrae" could be any of 33 in the spine. There's only so much this board can help with, and you'll likely need in-office care, but for what it's worth, we can get you going in the right direction.

Post a picture from the internet or something. Or describe it off of this photo

Steve,

The SI manipulation video that you linked is grade A++. Literally, it was one of those immediate relief type thing. (Yes, yes, I should have gone to a DC about, oh, 2.317 years ago). Do you have any broader references on "self joint manipulation/adjustment" -- books and/or DVD series? Particularly hip and shoulder (big surprise!).

No, I don't. But glad it helped.

I haven't read up on that sort of stuff yet although I should. I also am poor so I don't have many books.

However, I did find out one that works well for myself when I can't do the one in the video. Basically, set yourself up so that you're supported on your hands (on pbars or rings or a ledge) then quickly externally rotate the hips and squeeze the glutes and hamstrings as hard as possible.

This will literally RIP the SI joint back into place if it's slipped or slightly displaced. Has caused me a few cramping hammies, but the effect of eliminating the slip is something I can feel right away.
