Default foam rolling

Ive been foam rolling almost constently whenever I am home and I feel great!the question I have though is it possable to over do it on foam rolling?if so,how much is to much?

If you're constantly sore then it's probably not good.

As long as you're feeling good I'd keep doing it... and maybe even more often.

You might be ready to move onto better things though. Such as lacrosse balling... or golf balling if you're masochistic.

Don't forget to static stretch after foam rolling....

Im not contently sore,I just got the foam roller so its a new toy.Ill have to try out the golf ball and all the other ideas.thanks for your replies I will also start stretching after rolling.

I actually think that you can get too much foam rolling.

I've noticed that when I roll for excessive amounts of time that I feel kind of lethargic in the muscles if that makes sense. If I'm all triggered up though, the lacrosse ball, Stick, and foam roller get brought out for as long as it takes.

Well, the muscles do get tired being that they are put under pressure (blood forced out) and become hypoxic. Hypoxic muscles are tired muscles.

Also, it could have to do with shutting down reflex chains or overactive sympathetic system.... massage (all variations) are highly "relaxing" and stimulate parasymathetic dominance.

Either way the first one is good for stretching out aftewards, and the latter is good in general
