What are the benefits of this particular press?
Recently during BJJ warmups, i've been pressing out of the plough pose and coming to a stand. i used to just do this explosively and pop up, but recently i've had fun trying to press out of this as slowly as possible.
do gymnasts ever train this press slowly as a strengthening move? i've seen videos of guys backwards rolling and popping out fast, but never in a deliberately slow manner. would this press help develop a full HSPU?
