Advice about a new program
I would like to get some opinions about what training cycle to start. My goals are to get to 220 total this year and make national qualifying total before i turn 35.
I am 31 years old 5'7" and about 85 kg. In January this year i could squat about 170 kg i snatched 90 kg and C&J 110 (jerk limited i am not sure what my clean max was). But i pulled my left quad at my last competition late Feb and had to take off 3 weeks.
I have been plagued by flexibility issues so I then took off about 3 more weeks and went to PT and had my hamstrings and hips worked on. Now i am more flexible although not as much as i would like and i am a bit weaker.
I have looked through all of the programs you guys have on your site but am not really sure which one i should do. Any input or opinion would be appreciated.
I can post some technique vids if necessary but it may take some time to get them.
Thanks
Zack

Me and a few other guys have a rented storage building that we train at. We got 4 power racks, a platform, bumper plates, some tires, atlas stones, full assortment of bands and chains, yolk, and farmer walk implements.
I compete in weight lifting, two other guys pl, and 2 others do strongman. Its pretty sweet although we have no climate control and concrete floors.

nice, I'm from birmingham but currently in CO. Where are you? Did you get hit? My parents are fine, but the damage is astounding.

Zack -
Try the cycle currently running on the front page (you'll have to go back 5 weeks to find the start - Monday's are labeled with the week of the cycle). Drop the conditioning work of course, and instead force yourself to work on your flexibility before and after every training session.

Thanks Greg,
I had started the position strengthening cycle but i am still in the intro week. I just looked over the first 4 weeks of the current cycle and it does seem much more strength focused. I will give it a run.
I also got a question, my wife works so i can usually only work out 4 days a week. So i can either drop one of the workouts or i can stretch the program out a little bit. I plan on just stretching the plan out but what do you think I should do.

You can try stretching it out, or you can drop a day, but shift the more important (for you) exercises from that dropped day to previous/following days.

I had not thought of compressing the days a bit. That's what i will do.
Thanks.
