Oh my god, I just laughed so hard.

That was awesome.

From the comments: "The words are epic, the footage is epic."

Indeed.

Just got one from Chad Vaughn actually...

Not to take anything away from Chad (obviously he's a C&J record holder) but I REALLY don't like the comparison to the olympics, everyone's thoughts on this?

They always try to compare it to the Olympics. See a post I had some pages back of instances. IMO, it is because they know how truly elite the decathloners are, for example.

I don't know Chad at all.

But:

"I couldn't help but notice the increase in average quality of weightlifting technique and leg strength between this year and last. I believe that these will continue to increase through the next couple years until everyone participating has the technique and positions of an elite level weightlifter and exceptional leg strength."

This strikes me as flat out delusional.

Yeah, this is what really bothered me...how can someone acheive the same status of an elite oly caliber while also training the slow lifts, gymnastics, swimming, metcons, extended aerobic runs when the best weightlifters in the world spend decades of rigorous training on perfecting 2 of the most challenging movements in the history of challening movements? Rhetorical...

Well we'll see. When a top 10 finisher at the games makes it to the Olympics in the same 4 year cycle I will become a CF devotee.

What he's saying is that they have gone from 20% slop to only 15% slop.
