I've been learning the lifts on my own for the past 2 months or so.. so I'm very new to Oly lifting, I have a powerlifting background.. I finally got someone to record my power snatch today, so I posted it up to get some advice.. I know I have a million and one things to fix, so any constructive feedback would be appreciated.
Not bad. Keep your weight back as the bar comes into your hips and keep your shoulders over the bar longer (until the bar is high on your thighs at least).
Instead of reaching your hips through the bar, push the legs straight down through the floor, push the bar into the hips, and open the hips by pulling the shoulders back behind the hips slightly. In other words, hyperextend your hips a bit, but do it with the legs vertical.
