Known as the Olympic lifts, the Snatch and Clean & Jerk are unparalleled movements for developing explosive strength and agility. This full day seminar will broaden your understanding of these lifts by building up for you the technique that contemporary weightlifters at the highest level are using. While the technique we’ll teach is advanced, the drills will begin at the fundamental level, making this course valuable material for both the new or recreational lifter as well as experienced weightlifters looking to take their training to the next level. No one better to teach you these lifts then a CURRENT and still competative ACTIVE USAW lifter.
Anthony Hernandez is two-time OTC and multiple medalist at the US Senior Nationals and American Open. He has been lifting for over 15+ years and has learned from some of the premier coaches living in the United States. His best lifts are 92kg Snatch/ 110kg Clean & Jerk in the 56kg weight class.
John Filippini is a USAW senior coach,working with dozens of beginners and a handful of national level athletes since 2009. His best lifts are 96kg Snatch/ 124kg Clean & Jerk in the 85kg weight class in 2010. Despite spending 2011 sideline due to a shoulder injury, he has spent that time in coutless hours of coaching and researching the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.
