Default Olympic lifting shoes

Total noob questions....but I've never worn these before....

Just wondering how much of a difference do these shoes make in a lifters training?

Will they help you lift more weight?

They make a huge difference in stability and posture. They won't help you lift more weight, like magic shoes, but they will help you get in better technical positions to allow you the opportunity to lift more weight (if that makes sense).

Greg addressed the topic a bit on Robb's podcast here is a link with some of the highlights and the link to the podcast:

In comparison to most equipment purchases Oly shoes are on the low end of the price spectrum. I still have the pair of Do-wins I bought years ago. Nowadays I wear them for heavy squatting days but I used to wear them all the time when following the CA WOD's.
