Currently in our gym we are using 300$ rogue bars and older pendlay bars (same bar essentially just older). We are looking to get a competition bar for the ladies and the men (so two bars) and I'm just looking for advice.
Personally I like Werksan the best. Eleiko is great too, and I actually do like the DHS bars in terms of feel/performance, but I've only used them a handful of times so I can't speak to how they hold up over time. Werksan/eleiko will last you forever.
I've heard that the eleiko training bar is essentially the same as the competition bar, just with less aggressive knurling, so you won't damage your hands using them all of the time. FYI - I have not used these bars, so I don't know if this is true.
I agree with Greg, I like Werksan best for high quality. If you can't spend quite that much, Pendlay bearing (NB) would be my next best choice. After that, DHS, good bar but a little slippery in humid weather without LOTS of chalk!!
And, I can say that I've lifted on all of them more than once, including various version of Eleiko and my very own ZKC bar (which I like, but the knurling is a bit smooth).
