Default question on footrests

Okay, writing about running reminded me of this.

One of my many jobs is behind a very high desk. I used to lower my chair so my feet could touch the ground, but I was cranking my head up to see over the counter. So I started improvising with various footrests once i noticed this was messing up my posture.

Right now I'm using a half-sized milk crate because the big ones are too tall, but unfortunately people at my work really love this milk crate because the black rubber mats fit in it perfectly.

I was looking at different footrests to buy and can't figure out which are better, etc. Any suggestions?
