Read that a couple of days ago. Definitely about focusing on those high threshold MUs. Pretty good stuff except for the exercise choice but then again it is mainly a BBing site.
Chad Waterbury is always a good read over there... as are a couple of others like Thibaudeau, Poliquin, new guy Scott Abel and a couple of others. Of course, there's some garbage there too... and it caters to BBing community. But overall the information is better than your traditional BBing stuff.

Awful. Simply awful. It's beyond awful. It's shit, garbage, nonsense....I could go on and on, but I won't, for both your benefit and mine.
To be honest, I don't know where to begin when deconstructing Waterbury's latest string of drivel. All I can say it sucks, and that delving into the reasons why it sucks is far beyond what I care to do with my time right now.
Let me just start, though, by saying Waterbury is taking lots of credit for old ideas (most of which, incidentally, didn't pan out real well in real world results). And that his little textbook plagiarisms about neurology are pathetic, limited, and seemingly only put into the article for the purpose of making him seem smarter than my boxer dog, Chewbacca.
And Abel?
My one liner with regards to Scott Abel showing up on T-Mag is "Something Wicked This Way Comes". Why would I say that? Forget it. Abel is writing for T-Mag because he's going to be finishing up a few projects and wants to SELL, SELL, SELL!!!!
Thib, at least, has been starting to write some decent, if basic, articles, at least compared to the useless junk about bodybuilding he's been writing.
Here's how the latest crop of gurus seem to be writing their articles:
1. Blow off dust on "Supertraining"
2. Open to random page
3. Write article on that topic, claim it's new and innovative!
ASTONISHING!

Reading t-mag these days is similar to cheating on your wife with some dirty whore. The Journals (CrossFit and PM) is your nice, beautiful wife and t-mag is that hot, slutty chick at the bar....you know she's garbage but every so often your curiosity gets the best of ya and you make the wrong decision. Then you swear yourself up and down the next day vouching you will never resort to that filth again.

lol. Say what you will... I just take concepts from them that I haven't read anywhere else. If I knew where else to search for them I would, haha. :P

In a way this is in line with my premise that many people are just starting to figure out the method behind the madness of many old Soviet training methods.
And sadly, in like with what Steve is saying, many others will continue to sell out in the process.

If you want to delve into what's gone before, try these:
Supertraining...either the joint Siff/Verkhoshansky text or the later Siff only text.
The Science and Practice of Strength Training by Zatsiorski
Fitness and Strength Training for All Sports Theory Methods Programs by Hartmann and Tunnemann
The Weightlifting Encyclopedia by Art Dreschler
The assorted Soviet texts translated by Bud Charniga, from Sportnivy Press
Theory and Application of Modern Strength and Power Methods by Christian Thibaudeau isn't bad either...good overview of lots of things.
Bill Starr's books. Tommy Kono's book.

and now we have come to the old saying "Nothing new in fitness industry"....just people recycling old ideas to put a new spin on "their" training to sell their instant internet fitness celebrity expertise and E-books....I have just accepted it and moved on...but alas at least once in a while you may have access to info from some other source you may not ever read....but I am not going to go around giving anyone credit for any ideas as pretty much noone has an original thought nowadays.....I mean except for the Hindu squat guy (I dare not say his name...his wrath is too much for me...). Not only that...most people seem to flip-flop in their own philosophies anyways...so each E-book contradicts the other.....nice.....low reps...high reps...slow contractions...fast contractions....lift in a clown suit...no wait a scuba suit....and on and on....
and how cool is calling your dog "Chewbacca",,,,get a cat and call it BobaFet and then yell "Chewbacca......go get Bobafet...."...Ahhhhh fun....
