Resutls of my first Highland Games
Lots of fun, but I can't remember any damn numbers exactly.
Open Stone: Something like 29'6" Third or fourth
Heavyweight for distance: 24'1" for the first place
LWD: 44'6" or something....third or fourth.
Heavy Scottish Hammer: 65' something: 3rd or 4th
Caber: 1 pick, no turn, by far the worst I did. If I would have turned a caber, I would have taken first.
WOB: I hit 14', missed 15'...I had thought it was 13' missing 14', but they had measured wrong and had to add a foot to all distances.
I took a few fun throws on the sheaf, but nothing counted and I don't remember how high it was.
Took 3rd overall. I was quite pleased. Pics up sometime early next week.

I've only seen a couple of games but I think it's a great test of real strength, vs. gym strength. Congrats!

How long are you down, Dan? I've got the boys until Friday, but might be able to swing a road trip with them in tow.

Two weeks. Rosey is here, too, so it could be a P and B reunion...
