I know how endurance training is generally viewed but I have to back off the CrossFitting and lifting for awhile and begin running and swimming long distances to prepare for BUD/s.
Iíve been fasting using the Fast-5 method for a month or so and I like the results. Generally I fast all week and eat whenever I feel like it on the weekends. When I feed I stick to paleo foods and lots of fish oil. Iíve been fueled efficiently for WODís and lifting while leaning out and gaining some muscle.
Iím worried that long runs in the morning and long swims in the afternoon during a fasted state will be next to impossible. Plus, I donít want to pass out in the deep end!
What do you guys think? Is sticking to IF reasonable for long endurance efforts? Should I go another route?
