Default IF and Endurance Efforts?

I know how endurance training is generally viewed but I have to back off the CrossFitting and lifting for awhile and begin running and swimming long distances to prepare for BUD/s.

I’ve been fasting using the Fast-5 method for a month or so and I like the results. Generally I fast all week and eat whenever I feel like it on the weekends. When I feed I stick to paleo foods and lots of fish oil. I’ve been fueled efficiently for WOD’s and lifting while leaning out and gaining some muscle.

I’m worried that long runs in the morning and long swims in the afternoon during a fasted state will be next to impossible. Plus, I don’t want to pass out in the deep end!

What do you guys think? Is sticking to IF reasonable for long endurance efforts? Should I go another route?

I think it's quite possible to combine Fast-5 schedule with endurance training.
It all depends on your diet. You might need to carb load during your eating time in order to endure your training.
