It's one thing to eat very little and train lightly but it's another thing to eat protein-only and train hard.
I had blurry eye vision too last year when I'd do HIIT after weight training. This would only happen when carbs are lowish. Usually I'd have been eating few carbs the day before lifting (I train EOD) and not even have had many carbs before lifting, so the training session would make me go into deep ketosis.
Velocity diet is near 100% protein. Ever heard of rabbit starvation? Your body needs both protein & fat. Somehow people forget about the fat part.
I bet you feel much better eating Paleo-style!
