Seriously, no doc ever palpated the area? Unless it was in the fleshy part of the eye socket, there should have been a nice hard lump!
Ever hear of x-rays????

My wife (who is a nurse) came out with "maybe I'll do some cryotherapy on it" the other day.
"Umm, so you want an ice bag?"
