Default Bone Marrow

Should we eat bone marrow? I heard that it's healthy, but the other day I cracked open a chicken bone, but decided not to eat it. So is it healthy to eat bone marrow? What does it taste like? Should the bones be cooked seperatly, or can you just eat the meat, crack the bone, and suck on the marrow?

I'm usually too busy licking the buffalo wing sauce off it to want to eat it....

I use marrow bones to make vegetable beef soup. Throw the bones in to cook with everything else and then scrape out the marrow and meat after everything has cooked. Marrow is supposed to be a good source of CLA. I have no clue about sucking out the marrow, but our ancestors quite likely did for the fat content.
