Yeah those Nikes are cool. Would be great if they hit the mainstream market at some point.

Though I've been really content with the feel of the Ironwork IIs, I kind of like the Asics style (available only in Japan and a handful of other places, from what I've read):

Looks like a really high heel on the asics. I wish I can undestand a word written in there

I've got a few friends who are fluent that could translate, but what jumped out at me was the price (~230 US dollars). Ummmm, maybe not!

Oh yeah, and no weightlifting shoe thread would be complete without mention of Mark and his shoes.

I asked him about that photo, and he wasn't hamming it up for the camera like I originally thought, but rather he and his friends just used whatever they could afford back in the days.

Based on a quick survey of weightlifting photos from the 60's and 70's no one in those days could afford enough material to cover their nipples while lifting either!
