the blender is john vernon's nickname. given to him (apparently by me, but I don't remember, which is a testament to the name) because grappling with him is like being dropped in a blender.

Yes, Johny used a two-pronged approach to BJJ. Wrest your head from your shoulders...after you succumb to noxious fumes from his "rash guard". I think those tactics are outlawed in 13 states. Rhode Island being one of the exceptions.
