Sorry I couldn't help but laugh when I read the comment "African-American Combatives" .
...impressive nonetheless.

that's pretty cool, very stylized gymnastics...i've seen more impressive things, though.
except for the guy jumping from the bar to the roof in the first clip, i've never seen anybody jump rungs that far before...

I've seen more impressive things in my life too. But that was the coolest thing I've seen today.
David, you're a climber, who was that American freeclimber who could pretty much run up walls? Sadly he died a couple of years back. I saw him make a jump like that while scaling a face in something mental like 5 minutes. It was shown on some armchair adrenaline ride tv show over here.
There were guys doing the ascent on ropes and he was seriously just blasting past them like Spiderman, you could see the look of amazement on their faces. He got to a point where there was an overhang and just took off into the air.
Bit more high risk when your 100 foot up and not dangling off a kid's climbing frame.

I'm pretty sure I could do all of that... so it's not impressive at all. I guess it would impress you mere mortals, haha! Just kidding. But seriously I didn't see anything THAT hard that everyone could learn how to do that.
There's a lot of these videos out here which is kind of amusing especially of black people and their "urban" workouts.

james, you're probably thinking of Dan Osman. He is well known among climbers and the general population, unfortunately for his death.
the video that you mentioned is probably this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-oc-lhqpIA
he free solos (no ropes, no partner) over 400 vertical feet in 4:25 minutes...
anyway, he died doing a rope jump, not free soloing. he would climb to the top of high rock formations, and usually with the help of friends, set up bomber (very secure) anchors, tie himself in with a rope, and take huge swinging falls...he holds the record at a controlled fall of 1200ft.

Yup. Not all that impressive. Its cool yeah, but easily trained for, especially if you do gymnastics or CrossFit type stuff already.

Exactly, kipping pullups, a lot of them and someone capable of doing 50 or more of them is more impressive. BTW im halfway there, up to 30 a set now.
