Default Randy Pausch Lecture

A dying professor gives his final lecture. This is an awesome, awesome lecture, one worth every minute of watching/listening. I just put it on my computer at work and listened through headphones while getting stuff done.

Shit! Yes it is. Dur!

I mean "Of course it's Randy. That's what it says right there in the title. Are your eyes deceiving you Allen?"

Although you are a little late to the party Scott it was indeed a great speech...(CrossFit posted this on their main site a week or two ago).

I don't check the front page of CF often as I'm not currently doing WODs. I've had it starred in Google Reader for the past week waiting for a chance to listen to it.

Tonight on Primetime on ABC they did a hour about The Last Lecture and Randy and his family. I'm not sure if you can get it online but I'm sure you can track it down somewhere. It was a very powerful and moving hour.

A link to the book he wrote:

Inspiring.

His lecture on Time Management is also excellent. I'm listening to it right now (as I read the message boards...).

Randy Pausch passed away yesterday morning (7/25).

I keep thinking about my kids and what he said during his interview with Diane Sawyer.

"There is a sadness that comes when I think about my kids...and it's not so much a: I won't get the experience of being a dad...more that they won't have me for them...The metaphor I use is someone is going to push my family off a cliff pretty soon and I won't be there to catch them and that breaks my heart." - Randy Pausch - Primetime Live Interview
