I have had two sessions that I wont log, one a short oly session and another was a kbell metconish thing with some "core work" (wearing short shorts of course)
last night was first night with what Rod has put together for me; my goals for this phase are to get stronger, fix some problems with my snatch, and....well....work my ass off!
warmup-bar and pvc

snatch
40x3 48x3 56x3 62x2x5
had a miss in my 2nd and 4th sets, Rod said my prob is that I am looking for the scoop and overthinking it. I will look to correct this.
Sn. pull+2 hi-pulls
68x3 74x3 80x3 83x3x4
Pw.Cl.+2brski CL.+2 Pw.jrk
45 55 65 71x3
back sq.
50x5 60x5 75x5 85x5 93x5x5
Hard work last night I am feeling my legs today!
Another note, nutritionally, I have embarked on a fat boy program. We'll see what happens.

Was not able to make it to the gym yesterday because after I got up from working the night before I had to go pick out wedding bands....It was everything I dreamed it would be.....Okay, it wasn't that bad. But I still could not train, which sucked! I have to work tonight so I did the following in my apt.
20 sec handstand holds
3 sets
Pistols with shoes
1l 1r
1l 1r
2l 2r x3
3r 4 l
1l 1r x2
28 kg kb press(warmed up with 35#)

4x1 each arm

as many rnds in 5 min. of

5 28kg kb swings
10 pushups
15 squats

5 rnds+5 swings
Felt like dog crap during this, especially the air sq.(pistols beforehand?)

Overall I feel like I have been runover by a truck today; I think for various reasons, one of them def. being really crappy sleep for the last week.

Tonights attempt to train can only be referred to as a fiasco! I wasn't there mentally, and physically I felt lightheaded at times and not "connected." Usually when I feel like this I just take some extra time to work into it, and I am able to shake out the cobwebs and be fine. Not so today! So I cut things after about a half hr., stretched and got out of the gym. I lost this battle...but the war continues...

Got back in the gym today and felt better than last night. I still felt "off" though so I scaled back what was on paper for me to do.

Warmup-lazy 250 row and lazy 1/4 mile treadmill, bunch of pw. cl. and pj with bar and 40, some from the hang

cl. and Jrk.

50x3 60x3 70x2 77x2 (yuck) 77x1x3 70x1 cl. only
I felt so weird getting into the starting position today; it felt foreign. It was like my body was really stiff even though I warmed up really good.
Cl pulls

85x2 92x2 98x2x3
These were a mix of standard and high, once again I experienced the strange feeling in the starting position.

Back squat

60x5 75x5 85x5 93x2 100x5

The 100 is a 5 rep pr! Pretty happy with this as I felt that the session overall was poor in regards to my energy level and performance. Makes me wonder if I am sandbagging and I just need to open up a, "Can of Man."

Good mornings

Finished with stretching and reading the variety of Flex magazine's that are always lying around. It had been a while since I had heard the phrase, "Hanglider lats" used in a sentence. I used to love reading those mag's, it is a shock to read them now as my training philosophy is so different. Especially this line, "Don't worry about strength, just worry about how the muscle feels." This was by a famous Classic BB who was talking about the deadlift.

I ve got something wrong with my hip or glute, really felt it squatting tonight. I will put the ice to it and hope for the best! Decent session; I could have been more consistent with my snatch.

pw sn.

hit my knees a little on this the first 2 sets, got the hang of it a little better. I need to be tighter when I receive on snatches.

Sn DL. W hang shrugs

66x3 76x3 85x3 92x3x3

60x3 70x3 78x3 86x2 92x3x5
not quite as sharp as I would have liked.

pullups

Solid hard hat session, nothing spectacular. I need to continue to iron out my pull around the knees, I did scrape the left one pretty good tonight.
