whey
I'm making PWO nutrition bars and noticed they all call for whey protein. I was wondering what the best type is? Is there one that is a lot better?

Wouldn't sweat it. The standard Whey mix will be fine as it will be a mix of whey concentrate and caesin which is a slower timed release. The so called best Whey is "isolate" but most people will not use it because it is pricier and most manufacturer's look for cheaper ingredients. The only people really pushing the isolate are the same people saying you need a 100g of dextrose/maltodextrose sugars to go with it. You don't need the hype of the quick digestion from whey isolate as whey concentrate/caesin will do the job. If you want a better option, add some BCAAs.

They sell raw whey?
Anyway, they're not for me I'm just doing the baking (for people without dairy sensitivities) but I only want to use the best ingredients...IF they are affordable. LOL.

The ImmunoPro is expensive, I'll tell you that up front.
I was considering carrying the Dream Protein in my office, it's much less expensive (still high quality) and I need to place an order with that company for some other things anyway. If you'd like me to carry it, just PM me.

I'll get back to you after I receive my free sample they said they'd send on the webpage. Also I found this one kind at my gym that looks good... it isn't raw grassfed but it is lactose free, just whey protein isolates. I forget the name of it though... Also proteins+ looks pretty good... Hmmm....

Hey Yael, can you give me some recipes? I have been trying to come up with a good paleo style meal replacement bar for a while now. So far i am including things like cashew butter, coconut flakes, dates, pumpkin pie spice, lemon / lime juice etc. Normally i would use flax or hempseed protien powder over whey, but i need measurements and baking times for ingredients...no bake recipes would be great too!
