So, I got all amped from the Patch seminar and I want one in Tucson. Just so happens I know one of the higher-ups in the Parks & Rec Department and I asked him about the chance of getting some park space donated to the project. He said that it shouldn't be a problem, as long as they weren't having to pay for materials, signage, or labor.
This is going to be park "property", so I'm assuming donations are considered charitable and are a write-off. Please correct me if you know I'm wrong on this point.
I'm pretty sure we can get the labor covered with local CFers. That's not why I posted.
It's the signage and materials that I'm currently working on. Anyone think they can put me in touch (on a good note) with the right people at Home Depot, Lowe's, or maybe even Ace Hardware? Think they'd be interested in donating some materials for a public park, in exchange for signage at the Patch?
PM me if you know someone/something, it will all be appreciated...
