Whoa bench presses.
How's the progress and schedule for the first Oly meet this coming year?

Shoulder strength...
Focus for meet is:
1) Strength focus on squat and push press until start of April
2) Bulgarian-like focus on snatch and C&J with coaching until July
Thanks for asking!

Wednesday:
sn: up to 47.5 for a couple singles
pp: up to 61 for a single -- disappointing, since my last PR was 61x3
sq: up to 113.5x5, 5RM PR.

Nice. Any numbers you're planning to hit in the next few weeks leading up to the meet?

5 lbs per week until April should get me up to 140x5 on the squat. Push press, God only knows.

Oops, just noticed I inflated my squat by 20kg. That would be nice. Corrected now. One additional point: last time I played with 250#, I hit 3 reps, but cut depth to parallel. This time, I was squatting full range of motion. Still weak, but stronger...

Saturday:
sn: light and fast for 4 doubles
press: went down to 75# because I failed at 80# last week. Easy 5x5. Arghhh.. I hate being this weak.
bsq: 104x5x5. Surprisingly tough.
Wine and pizza last night?

Walked up to the local hill with my son, and sprinted up x 3.

Even I think it sucks, but yes, alcohol+nightshades+gluten+dairy will ruin the next day's workouts. Sad but true.
