As I tell people...crack addicts love crack...that doesn't mean it is good for them!

Monday:
light work:
dumbell snatch (exposing weak shoulder muscles)
light floor presses done for speed
light front squats, same
On a side note, one advantage 5/3/1 has over Texas Method is that TM invariably makes me fat... I'll be trying to add more conditioning work in to avoid this.

The note about TM making me fat is a bit ironic given the discussion above on wine and pizza -- clearly wine and pizza and sugar makes me fat. But TM has a causal role in the whole chain, based on repeated experience.

Thurs:
Long week of plane travel, low sleep, dehydration, and lots of IF (I always use plane travel as a convenient time to IF).
Today:
sn: light and fast
pp: up to 61x1, couldn't pull out a second, was hoping for three. Disappointing.
bsq: up to 118x5, both a 1RM and a 5RM PR.
1500m row until I couldn't breathe.

Sunday:
sn: light and slow. Snail slow....
press: 80#x5x5. Easy
bsq: 106.5x5x5. Hard. Missed last rep of last set.

Later:
1) Felt like a truck hit me, and not in a good way
2) Did 3x hill sprints.

Just wondering. I'm in the market for one and was going to ask where you got yours since it sounds like you're not that far from me (Bay Area right?).
When you miss a rep are you short stroking it? Or are you dumping the weight off your back i you get stuck in the hole?

I have a pair of sawhorses that I dump them on. Kinder to the platform, otherwise, I'd just dump them off my back.
